Summary Draft 1 + Thesis

The CFM56 series is a collection of high-bypass turbofan aircraft engines manufactured by CFM International (Global Engine Maintenance, 2019). Supplying more than 30,000 units to about 500 clients globally, it is the most dominant engine used in airliner (CFM International, 2017, as cited by Mwanalushi, 2021). In addition, its capability to produce thrust 18,500 to 33,000 pounds of thrust has made it a benchmark in the engine market (Safran group, n.d). This feat was due to its exceptional efficiency and dependability (Safran group, n.d), which was made possible by the 50-50 collaboration between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines (MTU Aero Engine, n.d). According to GE Aerospace (2017), the CFM56-7 among the series, has an "industry-leading 99.96 percent engine dispatch reliability rate", implying that only one flight take-off in 2,500 has been held up or called off. In a nutshell, the CFM56 engine series took over the industry with its consistency in its extraordinary potential.

Thesis: I think the CFM-56 engine series has significantly contributed to the aerospace industry, benefitting both commercial and military parties with its excellent performance and superb reliability.
